PCR TEST

A PCR Test (polymerase chain reaction) test is performed to detect genetic material from a specific organism, such as a virus. The test is being used with this pandemic of Coronavirus to detect if you are infected at the time of the test.

Antibodies
IGG and IGM

Serology measures response immunological antibodies in a individual. The antibodies are generated over days or weeks after becoming infected by COVID-19 regardless of the severity even for people who are asymptomatic.

ANTIGEN TEST

Antigen tests look for the presence of the SARS-COV-2 virus. It is able to diagnose the virus from when it starts to become contagious with a sensitivity similar to a PCR, there is a time interval from up to 5 days from the start of symptoms or having had close contact with a person with a positive test.
